I had a 68 vette with those rims on it when I bought it,and the offset is different. The tire rubbed the e brake cable

Looks like you may have a late model C3 spare tire. The Polyspares were introduced in 1978...what's the date code on the tire. Look at the back side along the rim for a stamping in the rubber...it will have DOT above it. The last three digits are the date code.

It doesn't look like it would fit a vett....I remember long ago when I had my first vett.....it was cold as hell, and the wife, and I had a flat on the interstate,no cell,so hitched hike to a body shop where I used to work to use the phone, called buddy's wife, and had her get a extra tire/wheel combo, and bring it to us.....we get to the car,and I tell her to go ahead, and leave....get the wheel on,go to take off,and wheel won't turn...ahhhhh...14".Learned then.......
Thanks for the help, fellas! So a Camamro,or Chevelle rim w/a 78,or newer C3 polyspare tire, right?I will look at the code on the tire.Shame it's not 68/69 vett, cause still has chalk marks, and everything.Very light chalk marks, but they are there.

My 78 SA had that same original size spare tire/rim....I've owned that vette 29 years...

Note: The 195/80D/15 is 27.3" dia....the 255/60/15 is 27"....

No...Corvette! The YA on the wheel is the broadcast code for Corvette used from 1978-82. The K38 tells us the plant Kelsey Hayes and it was made in 1978 (8=1978). The other side of the valve stem tells us the day. It's a 15 x 5 inch wheel rim and equipped with the first of its kind donut spare tire introdued on the 1978 model.

Sounds like you'll need exact measurements to tell. The devil is in the details ...
He didn't know what rim size...the other chevys would call out different broadcast codes. It's not based on rim size...it's based on the broadcast code...that's what dictates what model it is intended for...production basics.
