Sagging door handles?
Have any of you tried the replacement door handle springs?Are the little replacement hinges worth the ten bucks? Do these work,and how hard is the installation? Thanks for your help

According to the good guys at davie's corvette (www.corvetteparts.com) the cheap piece of spring metal only lasts a short time. I bought the reproduction one from them and am happy with it.

Replace them with nos handles. I bought reproductions once (made in Taiwan ) from ecklers and will never buy them again. When you hold the repro and nos side buy side you can feel the difference in the weight of the better metal an construction of the nos. They are not fun to do and you only want to do it once.

At my father in law's suggestion, I sprayed the springs on my door handles with PB Blaster and worked them for a while. I did it a few more times over a couple days and the passenger handle returned to it's normal position and the drivers is only slightly down from where it's supposed to be.
