Default rear end gear identification

Spent maybe a haf hour under my 72 BB coupe yeaterday trying to locate the stamped in ID on the rear end. Located where (I think) the Chiltons manual said it should be but had no luck.

Can anyone help with a bit of specific directions here?

Vehicle is a BB with a 4 speed manual

stamped in the bottom by the rear cover gasket. Some are hard to see, use some brake cleaner and chaulk. Probably 308 or 336 gear
