set a new mpg record!

my 50cc acc. pump went bad in my 61.
someone said a 30cc could work ok.
so i tried a used 1 i have.
i figured it would bog, but today i tried it over and over

lots of tire spin but no bog!
so in 2 miles it used 1/2 gallon

anyone good at math? mpg?

You don't measure with the "miles per gallon" method....yours gets .25 gallons per mile!

i never realized how much fun mpg testing could be. with a 2 gallon translucent calibrated tank it is easy to check.
.
the 1st mile was warmup; not over 2500rpm.
2nd mile was <45mph(never broke45 speed limit), under 4500rpm, hit 4600 buzzer once. so i see room for new record lows in the future

new test normal driving

normal across town during rush hour

got 19.3 mpg

did go WOT a few times, but basically just kept up with traffic, no speeding.
I cut idle fuel use in half! Really helps at red lights. see my report http://community.webtv.net/MATTGRU/carb
