footman loop??
ok. so for all those that dont know what a footman loop is. it the little loop that your t-top strap hooks to. the question is does the loop get srewed over carpeting or just the loop is showing and not the screws??? last winter i redid my interior on my 79 which BUBBA got to before i did and i dont know which way it is supossed to look. plus i am ordering the one that goes by the e-bake console. so when i install i want it to be correct. please post pics to help me out ??? thanks in advance........

The 2 rear ones go under the carpet with a slit cut into the carpet for the strap hooks to connect. Not visible at all once the straps are hooked on. The one by the brake cover goes on top of the carpet.

On my '71, there are little spacers (3/16" tubes) that are placed on the screws (under the "loops") to allow for the carpet thickness. Most times, these are lost and don't "re-appear". I don't know if the '80s C3's still used these spacers.
