This restoration package going to be the same for all 68's or are they car specific meaning specific to my personal car when ordered from the factory? or are all 68 convertibles the same package?
Sure would be neighbourly if an American would phone and order a package for a poor Canadian to thier address and then forward it to the poor Canadian's address .The poor Canadian would of course cover the postage costs .If your thinking the same thing pm me and I will get my v.i.n. to you .Thanks
I called GM Canada Vintage when I got my 79 ~8 years ago. The info was VIN specific. GM Canada kept all the info for Canadian cars that GM (US) lost or destroyed. I cost about CND$50 but I think it was worth it. Look for them an see if they still offer it.
So what you'd do is order the packet from GM to find out what options your car came with then order the window sticker?
I thought you couldnt get this info from GM. Did things change?
Dealer invoice copies are available for 1977/newer Corvettes from Allied Vaughn who handles documents for GM....(nothing is available for 1976/older vettes in terms of original dealer invoices.....)

I believe I got what you all are talking about, a couple of years ago from GM. Free and it just took a phone call. A lot of specifics about the 1971 production run (fill in your own year) and the last section of the relatively large paper packet had restoration resources (vendors for parts, etc). Came in a white Tyvek package.
Not trying to take anything away from it, and it's very good information. But I find I use my AIM and my CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL more. And of course this forum
Honestly, I'd say get it if you think you can use it.

Unless they've found some stuff, the first few weeks of 77 production are missing. GM still owes me a free invoice if they ever turn up.
I think also the problem was originals were on micro-fish...so some copies may not be good quality or not printable...
Nah...when I tried to get mine, the woman at GM said that another department borrowed the records for the first 3-4 weeks of 1977 production for a research project and they were never returned. The borrowing occurred in 1995, I think, so Dog only knows where the fiche is now. I was told then that they'd send me a free copy if the records were ever found.
I received mine the other day. It had a lot of info, including addresses for resto shops and parts dealers. There was no information for my 82, so I called today. The representative said they must have forgot to include it, so he's mailing a new one. Will post more info when I receive it.
Huh.......... I ordered 2, 1 for my 72 coupe on 12/16 and 4 days later I ordered another for my uncle's 68 vert Well..... I recieved my uncles copy today I wonder where my copy is? Go figure..............
