I think this is a members car, almost sure that it is a members car. The title I put on the picture file is. Green with stinger style hood 1974.
I looked closer, I think it's a later model, maybe a '76, because of the front emblem.
Sorry I can't offer much feedback, but the car looks awesome! I am thinking about going with something similar, only black.
Edit: I hope the owner of the car doesn't take offense to me saving the picture, I keep it around for motivation while I am working on mine.
No problem on keeping the pic. I pictured this car in my head for a long time before I finished it. I hope it helps. I don't know about molding one and how it would look, but here are a few things to consider.
I got this hood from Vanacor. I'll tell you she looks real nice, but it was a bitch to get it shaped just right. Oh, and you won't be able to use you stock fan shroud set-up either. I had to go to a dual electric fan set-up, which cools much better anyway. In addition the hood sits low in the front by the radiator core support. Basically where the spear comes down to a point at. For this hood to work you'll have to bend down the top of the Radiator core support in order for it to flush up to the hood. I thought my body man was going to shoot me a time or two trying to get this right. These are things they don't tell you. It's not a straight bolt on.

I love all these alternatives. But you guys who know me know I need it simple. Do not mistake me for being a competent car guy. I am in a league of my own.........the little league.
Specifically I am thinking about the add-on stinger top part (non-functional).
What do you all think of buying the stinger "box", attaching it to the stock small block hood, and having it painted at the local body shop?
What year is the hood you started with? I like the way it is comming out.
I have also seen a custom hood with a opening out front that look like a C6 Z06 and I think it look good also. Anyone know who that is on here. I'd like to know what was used.
That"s my long lost brother curtis"s car
I"d be careful keeping that pic for motivation, look what it made me do. david
I'm thinking black with heat shields on the pipes, other than that, it looks perfect.

I'd start by checking to see how tall the box is and how tall your hood is that way you know they will match up. If you feel comfortable with the work and have the time, I'd say do it yourself. If not, I am sure a body shop could do it.

Oh, it's going to be awhile, just figured I would ask before I forgot the questions.
Do you have a picture of the underneath side of the hood?
What's the advantages between a functioning and non-functioning stinger hood? A cold air intake....sorta? I like the way they look, but is there a mechanic difference between the two?
I like it Long hood are 60" and that scoop is 37"LX29"W and it should fit over the dome nicely. One you have the position layed out and the hole cut you could bond it on (just as you would with fenders ect..) then glass in the edges for a shooth finish.
