stinger hood project

I think this is a members car, almost sure that it is a members car. The title I put on the picture file is. Green with stinger style hood 1974.
I looked closer, I think it's a later model, maybe a '76, because of the front emblem.
Sorry I can't offer much feedback, but the car looks awesome!
I am thinking about going with something similar, only black.Edit: I hope the owner of the car doesn't take offense to me saving the picture, I keep it around for motivation while I am working on mine.

That's Curt's car, Curtis74, and no, he won't mind at all. He lives here in town with me and is a fantastic guy. It's a '74. He hated the nose emblem and swapped it out for a set of flags.
It's an after market hood, obviously a stinger, so a stock hood with a stinger scoop will look a bit differently.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Measured and centered where the scoop would go.
Had to cut a large opening in the hood due to the rise in the hood not working well with the Stinger. The scoop didn't just fit over the center of the hood. Pop-rivited the scoop in place and glassed it in after that.
In my case I took the piece I cut out and made the front to look more like the original hood than a stinger. Glassed it in, sanded and smoothed both top and bottom of the hood.
Hope this helps,

These are a few pics while 'processing' the mod...(that time the hood was white...)

The hood has been cut under the scoop so plenty of fresh air gets into the airfilter area...

Get over it. This thread isn't about you or your weird obsession with me and what I post. THAT, was a typo. Just to clarify, that thread you think is such great ammunition for your shots at me were written by both Curt and I at the same time in my garage while planning his motor project. He and I together wrote that thread in a way to simply ask for help on a project. In fact, several of the posts made under my name on that forum were written by him. So chill out, get over it, get over me, stop trolling for trouble, and let this thread get back to Stinger hoods.

I've seen that car posted on another forum. It was stated that it only weighs 2,200 lbs. Care to share how he was able to get it that light?

Uh, yeah. . . . right. That was a typo about it being your Vette too, right? Probably forgot to put that sarcastic smiley in that one too, right?
Kid Vette,
This is the type of uncalled fore BS that myself and other new member don't understand and don't care to read about. You need to keep you personnel feelings seperat from these threads.
We are talking about custom hoods and untill your post I didn't see any one with any type of contempt.
You need to end this.

I have also seen a custom hood with a opening out front that look like a C6 Z06 and I think it look good also. Anyone know who that is on here. I'd like to know what was used.
