I got one of those "Hello Shipper...I'm interested in purchasing..." messages where they want to send a cashiers check for more than the amount and then I'm supposed to send the difference via Western union ...
It must be Christmas.

 

I have had several of those lately. When they are so obvious why can’t the authorities prosecute them? I guess that is just not important since they are not the ones getting scammed. That is my rant for the day

 

I usually forward those emails to my Dad, who in turn sends them to a department that handles internet fraud, I think a branch of the EF BEE EYE.

 

my buddies and I in college got one and had a heck of a time messing with him, every now and again we read the emails for a good laugh, boy he got mad!

I just feed them more crap like you've just won the america lottery.

 

I have even gotten them from local paper advertisements! I've had 1 send me a check in the past, and when it came I just turned it over to the authorities. THey are at least out the cost for postage.

 

i recently got one of them to send me
a so called cashiers check .
i told him to include $50
cash to pay my storage company or they
wouldnt give me the check.

needless to say they didnt include the
cash but did try to claim that the check got cashed
and wanted their money and tires they bought.
i have many LEO friends and was thinking of having
them come and pick up the tires and excess cash
and bust them for fraud right on the spot but then the
azzhat claimed i had to send him the cash first
so he could come and pick up the tires.
