ok weird thing happened today went for a cruise in my vette and got backto the house the windows were down went to put the up and nothing they worked fine like 25 mins earlier and then nothing. they are power but i think it might be the switches? am i on the right track?
Did you check fuses? If they're ok, do you hear a faint "click" when you use the window swirch?
Alan K.
i just checked the fuses it took some stretching out and a quick read on how to be a contortionist to get a good look at it although the marking are faded i checked the one that was marked power acc i believe that to be correct fuse but i do not hear a faint click, plus i know for a fact the car has had the motor on the passenger side replaced and the gears on the driver side replaced recently
Same thing happened to me last month- but I did have a faint clicking when the window switch was activated. You may have a dirty connection at the motor. Try pulling off the inside door panels, remove the metal cover on the window motor, and clean the plug. That may be the easy fix and it woked for me. Good time to clean and lube the window and lock mechanisms too.
Since BOTH windows are failing to close, I doubt that the "switches" are the fault. However, it could be a broken or disconnected power feed line or ground connection, the fuse for the system being failed, or a defective relay.
ok is the relay on the fuse block and which one is it and is the fuse a standard bus fuse or is it a special type fuse or is it all one thing the only reason i ask because im not clear what i have read in the manuals that i have on the car

I'd check the ground wire connection also .Should be behind the back of the passenger seat under the carpet .
