Okay guys got quite a few bucks for X-mas to spend. One of the things I want is a Sirius radio. Who has em and which one did you get.
Looking for opinions before I lay out the cash. Preferably want the option of using it in the car and the shop.
I have the sportster in my C5 but not the C3 I really don't like it much... instead of sirius I am placing an Ipod into the C3... might want to look at that too...
I've had Sirius for years - portable and stand alone Tivoli. But just as
a reminder you can listen to it all day on your computer as part of your
subscription.
From: Minnesota in the summer, Las Vegas in the winter
I purchased a lifetime subscription to Sirius years ago. I use it every day in my daily driver. I have a replay receiver and I have antennas mounted in four different vehicles. I listen to it on the computer as well.
If you had told me I would be listening to satellite radio before I got mine I would have said "no way". But today I listen to it about 4 hours a day.
I have had Sirius Radio for a few years. I run with a Kenwood system with the Kenwood/Sirius box that allows control through the head. I also have it in by driver and my wifes with the factory BMW conection. We installed Sirius at my wifes shop also.http://beadazzledinkansas.com
Sirius is about $135 a year and that is discounted for each additional conection that you have.
We enjoy the no hassle of DJ's and advertising; especialy in the morning There is a wide varity of music, news, sports and talk to chose from.
Walmart sells the radios and such, I just got a plug and play there for 40$ and the speaker system for 80$, works great for around the house. In the car I have a basic 20$ unit I got at Circuit City, I only listen to 3 stations, presets work fine with a remote. At work I use a laptop for Stern.......................I will never ever listen to regular radio again
