ok i have gone over my interior like i was suggested and all and all it looks good. only have to replace a few trim items. the rest can be dyed. so my question is where do i get the dye paint from. i looked in local auto zone not what a was looking for. any suggestions on where to get it at. thanks scott

Back when I redid my interior on my old 79, I purchased some interior dye from a local corvette america store. If you dont have a local store that deals directly with corvette america you can also visit there website.

SEM brand interior due is available from most local auto stores. Got mine at Car Quest. Corvette America brand interior dye is available from ...you guessed it..."Corvette America". Most Vette catalog vendors carry dye.
Problem with dying some and not all pieces, is matching the color. Fading over the years makes it difficult to match the old pieces with newly dyed. Testing the new dye color on the back of a piece is a good idea...

The best place is a Auto Body Supply House (it's the supplier to all of the auto body repair shops). Not from a local auto retailer like Pep Boys, Canadian Tire, etc. The paint supplier will be able to give you exactly what you need and will have all the info as well on how to apply. I did mine in '77 dark blue. worked really well. The key is to scrub and then scrub clean with their cleaner over and over to get the 'old' brighteners like Armoral off. The results will be great.
