Joe- DON'T PAINT THAT CAR!!!! That has to be one of the best survivors out there. You can do alot to buff and polish the lacquer paint. BTW- thanks for the link to pro team's page- I haven't looked there in a long time, now I know that I am RICH, I tell you RICH!!
Beautiful '68 and a favorite of mine and others. Your wife has pointed you in the wright direction. My wife is also partial to C3's. I guess thats part of why I have had 5 C3's out of 7 Corvettes over the years. These cars get into your blood.
That car and this forum will be alot of fun and you will meet many knowledgable Corvette people here.

VERY Nice joe.... And it brings back some great memories. I spent a lot of time in a '68 427-390 roadster my buddy had back in the late '70s. It proved all of the negative '68 was wrong to me..
And as an original owner with thin, cloudy original paint, I'd still say don't paint it. Vettes like our's are few & far between..... ..
Overwelmingly the concensus is to not get paint job done so i will let my other half enjoy her ride without messing with it...
thanks guys for the WELCOME!!!! its great!!
JOE
Joe, do you remember that really bad snow storm / blizzard that hit Raleigh about six or seven years ago? My girlfriend at the time was at the Raleigh Durham airport for a layover when the storm hit, and all flights were grounded. She spent three hours on the plane until they let tham all back into the terminal. The airport didn't open the restaurant or hotels until the THIRD day they had all been stranded in the concourse and there was a baby spreading pink eye to everyone. Poor girl had to sleep in the same clothes on the floors next to the gate without a way to really clean up. Several people got out because there were guys in heavy duty 4x4 trucks that were taking people out for $1500 a head. It was crazy. I kept trying to just drive out and get her myself but she would not let me saying they were going to get them out just as soon as I left. It was nuts.
