Dans un pays où je dois déjà appuyer numéro un pour l'anglais j'hésite à apprendre une deuxième langue. Peut-être plus tard bien que comme mon père et grand-mère soient de l'Allemagne.

I´m also living in Germany, close to Ulm and driving a 72BB. For registration you better get a so called "Datenblatt". That´s a sheet of paper which tells the technical datas for that car. With this it is easier to get the "Hauptgutachten" from the "TÜV". You better get a registration as a classic car as your´s is more than 30 years old. You will save lots of money then because the tax is much lower!
