When I did my wheels, I made sure they were clean - no grease, oil or wax.

Another nice thing about this stuff is it is easy to touch up if you have a little incident!

For all you guys using polished aluminum or polished stainless, what solvents can you use to clean them without harming them? I have seen a few guys ruin their valve covers by using all purpose cleaners that have citrus in them, and other such cleaners.

What's a safe cleaner for polished aluminum and polished stainless?
I'm sold on Simple Green- about 50% or more diluted. Safe for everything under the hood.

I can't stand polishing aluminum, it's chrome all the way now, just like the wheels I just bought, wipe 'em off and there done
