I was at Barrett on Friday and bought a 78 NCRS Judging Guide for my SA at the NCRS booth and left my credit card there..I did not discover this until heading home Saturday...so I called NCRS in Ohio, and the guy there took my number and said he would call guys at Barrett and try to locate it...meanwhile,I called my bank and we decided not to kill the card until NCRS charge came through...(Bank would reject any subsequent charges,if any)..
Just 20 minutes ago,I received a call from the NCRS guy who I bought the manual from..(he was already home in South Carolina)...He told me he had held my card in their cash box hoping I would return Saturday...anyway,he then called my bank about the card late Saturday.....
We had a nice chat this morning, and I told him to destroy the card and he ran it through his shreder ...he told me they are volunteers and another guy in the booth was from Oregon...neat guys dedicated to this Corvette hobby of ours...

NCRS is not right for every Corvette owner, but, it's perfect for some Corvette owners.
Regards,
Alan
I've been to one judged event that used the NCRS guide...quite interesting and informative...what blew their mind was my 8 track...I put in a Boston tape...
been a ncrs member for years, joined in the 70s, quit when I was out of vettes for awhile and then rejoined. As said not for everyone, but you can't beat the expertise many members bring to the table, love the magazine, that alone is worth the price to me. Like any org there can be a bad apple or two. I will always be a member to keep my brain constantly getting more input.
I joined the NCRS when I bought my first Vette, now I have four...LOL. Good organization, even though I don't own an "NCRS car", I do enjoy the events, and the knowledge.
Scott, et.all,
We, ( St. Louis C3 Sharks) were talking about the various upcoming events this summer, and the NCRS Convention came up. We thought it might be fun if NCRS would consider saving us all a spot somewhere in the back 40 of the Embassy Suite's parking lot if we could round up 30-40 C3's to attend the event. Not all of us are Corvette purists but we all admire all aspects of our Corvette hobby. Do you think this would be a good idea, and how do you think this would be looked upon by the NCRS community. Just thinking out loud here, I can follow up with who ever if it makes any sense.

I think it would be great if the organizers were open to the idea, it could generate interest in the organization and the event but who am I to comment
That is The National Convention and it will be a huge event having being planned for a long time so I really couldn't say what their response would be. PM sent with contact info.

Ya wanna see the pictures of the remains of your card? I have not emptied the shredder yet. Thanks for all the kind comments.
