Pulled the trigger on a '79 911SC!!! What a fun car!!! You guys may recall, a couple weeks ago I looked at this one. It will go to my son when he graduates Univ of Washington in 3 yrs. Too bad he cant have a car at school.. In the meantime, I'm having FUN with it while the Vette project progresses!!!!!!
BTW, the Vettes engine bay is almost done, and the ZZ4 is all painted and about ready to drop in!! Got my belts back from Ssnake-Oyl TODAY!! Look great (they OUGHT to...$$).
I like them, and always have.My cousin'e boyfriend was a photographer waaaaaaaay back in yesteryear, and had one,and it was a blast!Your son will love it!
Thank you on the other,also,Rob!
Always liked the 911's and the 928's. You found a nice looking car that should be easy to maintain. I do have a strong liking for German cars as we have 3 BMW's. Your son will have long dependability.
The only thing in my drive that is not American or German is just visiting.
I do recall your thread on this as a trade. I just do nopt recall what you traded or did you?

I sold my UNrestored, original 75 TR6 (bought in 2000 for $5000, sold for $14000!!!!) AND I sold my son's '78 280Z, which he and I restored as his first car...
I've always liked 911's. The only one I've ever ridden in was a 72 and it was a helluva lot of fun. It was a college friends dad's car. He promised me I could drive it when I graduated, that was 15 years ago. I wonder if I should call him up and tell him I'm still waiting to drive it.

WOW!!! When I was in my late teens and early 20's these were my 2 favorite cars! Very nice!
