Went over to paint jail to to check on my baby, it's got 5 coats of color and 2 coats of clear
.

Yep, Millenium Yellow. I thought they were going to paint all the pieces off the car, but he says yellow is so transparent that they had to loosely install the bumper covers, hood and doors to get a good color match. They will remove those to spray the door jambs etc. They say the clear needs to cure for this week, then sanding and buffing.

Thanks, I can't wait for it to come home so I can get started on the reassembly. Hoping to have it ready for spring or maybe for the hot rod power tour.

I LOVE YELLOW............prior to me owning my red 68 i had the identical car in yellow but an automatic.

Yellow is my favorite color for cars...had a few yellow cars, but still not 1 of my 5 vettes were yellow.
