I think the alloy slotted rims look the best on tunnel glass C3s, '78 - '82.

Slotted for stock look, any other is a matter of owner choice.

Do a google search on Newstalgia Wheels. They have a simulator that allows you to try different wheels on your car. Just enter the make model and year of your car, change the colour and then pick wheels and tires. The simulation lets you change rim size and tire size. You can even raise or lower your car. Kinda cool

Go with the slotted aluminum ones. Ecklers has a pretty good deal on them $699 for all 4

Either the stock slotted aluminum or the rally's. Aftermarket wheels always look wrong on C3's in my opinion.

The POs were pretty rough on my stock slotted wheels, I thought about replacing them instead of polishing them again this year. I tried to like 5-, 6-, and 8-spoke wheels. They don't appeal to me. It turned out the ones I liked the most are similar to the stock slotted wheels - the Mickey Thompson Class II, Cragar Soft 8, and the Summit 164's (all at the Summit Racing web site.)

I decided that new wheels are not a good use of my Corvette budget and put the money in my Keisler 5-speed fund.

I agree. I actually replaced the aluminum wheels on my 80 & 81 with the rally wheels, they just look so much better. But the aluminum wheels are a close second and definitely better than any aftermarket wheels out there.

The only car I've seen that still looked good and had had any other type of wheels were the C5 wheels on Frankensport's car. I don't know what it is, but that car looked damn good. So far that's the only vette I've seen with low profile tires and non-factor wheels that looked good though.

These would look interesting...sort of a cross breed between the ralleys and aluminum wheels

Thanks for all the ideas. I tried the wheel simulator, but I just couldn't get the right look. I like the torq thrust & oversized rallye wheels, but I would just like something different.
