The fact that people who get to go to space for a living like the C3 should be all the convincing anyone needs to understand that the C3's are the best Corvettes.

Rule of thumb is 2 Lbs for every year of marriage. So if you're married looking to lose weight, get divorced, if you're single don't get married.

96% body mass, 4% fuel, and 100% only bad a$$ American Sports car!
BTW, what do you think those three cars in a single sale grouped together would sell for on Barrett Jackson?

Didnt Jack Nicholson play an Astronaut in the 1983 movie Terms of Endearment. I remember him driving a 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette on the beach.

Those guys were truely Bad Azzes.
Have you ever looked closely at the stuff they went to the MOON in?
They went to the moon in a Sears & Roebuck metal lawnmower shed !
They deserved a free Vette!

Great picture!! I found some info about these Vettes that I thought was interesting:
General Motors leased cars to early American astronauts under an executive lease program, implemented as a means of sidestepping a ban on astronauts making product endorsements. Under the program, the astronauts’ lease was $1 per year. Astronauts could choose any Chevrolet they wanted; most astronauts chose Corvettes.
The Apollo 12 crew is the only crew to request matching Corvettes. The AstroVette was a special edition exclusively for the three-man crew. These gold ‘69 coupes wore NASA logos and had black wings and a red, white and blue insignia on the left side of the car.

suzie you posted what i was about to say, GM basically gave them the cars for free advertising otherwise i dont think so many of the astronauts would have been driving them.
