Default inner fender help

I bought as pair of inner fenders from a member here that i was told were for 68-72, but i believe they have turned out to be 74-79 since they have the bump in the hood hinge reinforcement area. Can I still use these for my 68

Thanks
Andy

Inner fenders are unique for '68. They don't have the bump you refer to. I think you can still use them in your '68 but you may have to find new reinforcements for the hood hinges that will work with the later innner fenders. I believe those reinforcements also serve as mounts for the core support if memory serves me correctly. The later reinforcements should be much easier to find than the '68 versions since the same design was used for many years after.

I think they are for a chrome bumper car. On the 74 parts car I have the lower part where the bumper goes thru is very thin and if my memory is correct they also have a small bracket sort of like a L riveted to the thin area.
