I dont know where it is,
Tell me if you want, but I wont be able to check it out for a while.
With homework, I wont be able to go out until like 9pm.
And I wont be at my dads house without homework for another two weeks.

If the frame and birdcage are OK you've got a SOLID foundation for a resto-mod... but I've gotta be honest, Looking at the area the car was parked you might have some SERIOUS rust issues.
Keep us posted please

Exactly what grade are you in, son?? Do you make enough money at McD's to sink into this Vette??

Just as a perspective, and IF the birdcage and frame check out, it will cost about 10k in parts, you do the labor. that doesn't include paint. If your up to it, have fun. though i'd just like to point out that late 70's, early 80's 'Vettes are widly available in excellant condition for 7-8k. just food for thought.

He could easily sink 12 grand into that car in just fiberglass, bodywork and paint, and thats just cosmetics.
Then Factor in frame, and bird cage rust. Rebuilding the entire drive train ( engine, transmission, and rear). Then the suspension and brakes. Oh then there is also the interior to complete also.
It's Great project, but the costs can be astronomical. Most people complete a project like that in a few years, and with a big budjet. I hope this is not a discouragement, I'm just reflecting on past experience. Every Corvette in my opinion deserves another shot at life, including this one. I wish you the best of luck, and by all means if you have the patienc, time, and $$ go for it!

New info about paint!
OK, so today I found out this,
The Corvette was orignally that mustard yellow you can see around the licence plate.
Well that brown,
My dad's neighbor had a '78 Cutlass and it had something similar to that.
So my dad got a custom paint job around '80 to look like it.

Do you have any pictures of the engine compartment. I was wondering if it's a smallblock or a 454 car. If you post some pics of the underside the members here may be able to help you identify any frame issues. As for the color, the metallic yellow looks cool.

Looking at your pictures I see the yellow color at the rear license plate area and on the driveshaft tunnel in the interior. The paint code for yellow is 952 and for the metallic yellow it is 953.
