Default Birdcage Question

What is the birdcage? Any photos of a rusted/problem birdcage. When I jack my car up by the rocker panel, the door gap opens up towards the top. Is this a birdcage problem? Thanks for you input.

Birdcage is the widndow/ t top support. Conecting to the firewall and rear window. Problem areas are typically at the bottem of the window near the wiper mounts

are you jacking up the actual rocker panel or the frame behind it?

I'm jacking on the frame toward the front of the door.

it should have some slight play when you jack the car up. I would take off the kick panel on the inside and check the door bolts for loseness. Also while your looking you should be able to see if there is rust in there.
