the drivers side headlight on my '75 binds when raised, a quick tap on the body behind it, and it pops right up. I've tried the adjustment screw in the center of the assembly, all that did was raise the front of the door, it's the back that is binding. any help on this would be greatly appreciated, as this has already damaged the paint behind the headlight
On each side there are some bushings loosen these it's kind of a tight area now equal out the spaces on each side this should get you close. Go to the ecklers site and serach the bushings then you'll know what your looking for. Mine caught the clear coat of my new paint could of done some real damage but I was lucky
Just for the heck of it, check your header bar also.
One of the headlight doors was binding and rubbing slightly on my '76. When I checked it out, the header bar was so swollen with rust it had put the corner of the door in a bind.
I had to remove both headlight assemblys when I replaced the bar, so it was a good time for a complete rebuild of the assemblies too.
