I was under the dash this morning in an awkward position with my fingertips barley touching the bolt trying to find the screwhole for the accelerator cable bracket thinking to myself, "this has got to be the worst bolt to get to in this vehicle" and then I remembered the fun getting to the vacuum booster nuts and didn't feel so bad about what I was doing.
The question is what do you think is the most difficult part to remove and replace on a C3?
1st place: No doubt in my mind. The rear Trailing Arm Bolts!!!!!!!!! Finally had to buy a reciprocal saw to cut them---which can injure you big time when it kicks back!!!!
2nd place: center consol bolts
3rd place 30 year old exhaust manifold bolts--took me a week to get them out--but I didn't break any.
yeah the Jesus bolt (as in "Jesus! how do you get to this thing!!") is the upper booster bolts under the dash IMO
Too!!! Secret... 12 inch and 4 inch extension, combined with a wobble and deep socket. The secret is...to use duck tape to stiffen up the wobble deep socket connection You can also start all the nuts with this set up. Just stuff a little paper towel in the deep socket. Muddy

Good suggestion and I agree. One more I would add, but it is on a midyear, which are the wiper motor bolts under the dash.
1st (not a bolt though) ...
the spark plug passenger side rear, on a BB AC car !!!!
2nd
The rear bolt that holds the parking brake console attached to the
rear bulkhead - have to take the entire storage compartment
assembly out to get to it!
3rd
The itty-bitty clip that holds the backup switch rod to the reverse
bracket on a 4spd tranny.
4th
the 5/16 bolts that hold the wiper door vacuum actuator to the inner fenderwell (pass side) on a BB AC car (located behind the long expansion tank and AC parts - have to drop splash guard and take out the side grill to get at it).
Rear Spring to Diff bolts. Try puting those on, with a new spring with new rubber sliders, laying on your back, moving around a 45lb spring on a floor jack that just doesn't reach. fun for the whole family!
Top-most bolt holding the tranny to the motor when you have a busted tranny mount from the insane amount of torque your L81 throws down. Not enough room to get any kind of wrench down there, and even when you can, you can't back out the bolt all the way because it backs right into the firewall. That's always a good time.
