Pretty sure it will work on an 80 also. Hope you don't need one they are very hard to find and about $300 and up. Think one of the forum members is rebuilding them for others.

Kona
No, I have a working one. I wanted to list it for sale but didn't know which other years it'll fit.
I got two spare ones because I thought the one in my 81 was the reason that the wipers didn't work. Turned out that the issue was the ground wire on the motor.
Where is this controller located. I have a clicking sound like a relay at times in the rear compartment that has to do with my wipers. When the wiper switch is touched it starts clicking.

Is this the controler or a relay?
I'm sure it is. It is located on the passangers side rear compartment. Once you take out the plastic bucket it is mounted on the metal wall behind front seat. There may be two or three modules back there depending on the options your car has.
Your controller will fit 80,81,82. It could also be used for 78,79 but the connector would need to be changed 78,79 used two connectors 6 conductor and 3 conductor, the other years used one 9 conductor connector.
