What a great guy ! 69camfrk
Gents...
Need to share this with ya's !
69camfrk had a beauty '80 Vette for sale....
After a few phone conversations and scanned photos, I challenged myself to drive from Ottawa Canada to Atlanta Gorgia !
20 friecken' hours !!!
Why not ?
Rented 2008 vehicle and zoomed to his residence !
Left at 0400am and got to his residence at approx 23:30hrs...
69camfrk met me in his driveway with a firm handshake !!
I was "kaput" system shutdown !
Hospitality ? shocked me !
Blankets and a couch and OUT I went ! ZZzzzzzz
Never met the guy and he and his wife trusted me ! Cool !
The next morning we went for a RIDE !
Man did it go !
He was watchin' the road while I was scanning the horizon for troopers !
Thank god I spotted them before they spotted us !
Blew some doors off of some teens riding their rice bucket
To 69camfrk and his wife, SALUTE !
Maybe someday, I will be able to return a favor to another vette owner !

Phil....you are so correct about Frank. I sorta have met him through the aviation community. I am 60 miles north of Atlanta. Wish I had known of your trip. I am just a few miles off 75 between Atlanta and Chattanooga. You could have stopped for a break and some lunch.

Drove all the way back and you can't imagine the things that went thru my head for 20hrs

You met a great guy in 69camfrk and you're gonna love your new vette. I met him on the forum a year or so ago and he is a standup guy. Enjoy the new ride. Here's a couple of pics of us installing your new engine.
