Default replace side veiw mirrors

Want to replace the side view mirrors on my "79" vette. I have the door panel off but can not lower the window enough to get to one nut. Can some one help me out with this problem, is there a stop to remove? Sure could use some help on this.

Hi,
Remove the top bolts holding the front window track. You will then have enough room to access the mirror fasteners.
Good luck,
Tom

Unless they changed the way the door frames are I don't think you will gain access to the nuts. There is a piece of metal in the way. In the pic. if you visualize the door skin on this frame you will notice the bar that should be in the way. If you go to the tech section and look at the post about window regulators there is a whole lot better pic. it may give you a better idea of what you are dealing with.
