Default Speedo Cable question

Hey I just got a quick question, I have a '75 with an auto and was wondering if it matters if I use the 2 piece or 1 piece speedo cable? Mine was missing it when I bought it. I would rather have the 1pc cause its only half the price. Will it fit?

Thanks

It will work but you will be by passing the cruise control if it's installed. The two piece cables are for vehicles equiped with cruise control.

75 had one cable. The two piece came out in 77 with cruise

Not true. My '71 SB/auto has the 2-cable system. I don't know why it does {the two cables just connect to each other}, but I bought the car from the family of the original owner and have records on all work done (at Corvette specialty shops ONLY), so I strongly believe that it is original.

Cool thanks! My vette does not have CC, so the one piece it is

I was unsure cause a few sites showed a 2 piece and a 1 piece for the '75.

Thats interesting. Thanks for that bit of information. I was unaware of a two cable system prior to 77 with cruise.
