Default need courtesy light socket 1972

I am missing the driver's side courtesy light socket for my 1972 coupe. Yeah bubba did it. Anyways, i am not sure what all years would be the same.... probably1968-1976 for sure. It is a double wire socket for a c631 single contact bulb. Does anyone have an old dash harness that still has this socket??? I have checked at the online vendors and at autozone and napa and no one has this.... please let me know...

thanks again,

Sully

I did some checking, and haven't found anything yet, so here's a bump.

Is it an A/C car or a heater car?

Also, I seem to remember the under dash courtesy lights from maybe an old Impala might be the same. Either way, I doubt anyone would ever know unless they stuck their head under your dash.

I have an old harness from my 71'. Will go look and see if I have one. What color are the wires?

If it looks like this I have one.

I have the bracket, and maybe the socket. Oh, a/c or non?
You can one or both (if I have both) for shipping cost.
E mail or pm me,

I'm looking for the same thing. The picture show the wires connected but they are just hanging by a thread.

You know that socket can be rebuilt fairly easily. The contacts inside can be cut and the wires can be removed. Cut the ends off and strip the wires. Get two new bulb contacts, and feed the wires back through. Crimp on or solder the new contacts, and you're all set.

Yeah, I know, I've tried, but the PO already chopped it up pretty good. There's a screw with a bolt that the orange wire is crimped to, and some bubble gum and duct tape holding it together.

I found this company Cole Hersee: http://www.colehersee.com/resource/index.htm
But they only sell through distributors, so you have to call to see who is in your area. They are not original GM parts, but my car is far from original. I ordered 3 of the 2610 (side mount with double wire connections).

Take a look at Zip Products item # E-882. It says it's for '63-'73 courtesy lights. My '66 looked just like the Zip one but it doesn't look like Duke94's light socket. Can't remember what the '71's looked like.

Paragon has it, p.77 in their catalog. I need one also, as well as the flasher bracket that is screwed behind to the bottom of the pass side dash panel.
