what's the deal on these 1982 collectors edition vetts. Looks like they would hold a little better price, since they only made so many, also didn't this model replace the 83 that was not made due to equipment failure at bowling green. Looks like it would be more valuable because of that. just wanted to how you felt about it.
A: They made 6759 out of over 25000 in 82 = about 25% or therabouts so not rare by any means.
B: Same underpowered Automatic only Crossmisfire engines
C: I like em! (Then again there really is few Corvettes I don't like). I would love to find a decent one amd stuff an LSx motor and 6 speed in it. Would make a nice cruiser.
Also, they were not meant to be '83 cars. The C4's were supposed to come out in '83, but there were so many 'new part' shortages and delays that GM just held back the kick-off till summer of '83 and called it an '84 for a year and a half.

thanks.
I see a bunch around for sale. They really are not rare, but you will pay a little more for one than a standard '82 with all things being equal.
But I agree with 78vette-sa, I like them. Good color combination, and a lift up back glass!
I had one a couple of yrs. ago, Low milage, all original. Really liked the gas milage, and looks. I think the problem is when you start to fix things like the hood decal, interior, etc you find it verry expensive. Also, the glass hatch back had problems with alignment and sealing. It was a nice crusier though.
