Default Worth It??

I was doin a little shopping last night for parts for my 80 L82 and I came across these at summit

are these worth the money for a upgrade to my current stock number or is it not really worth my time

Man those look really good .Is your carb giving you fits? My 75 only has 42k miles so I hope i wont need all that anytime soon. Im thinking about some diff mifflers. Summit they are pretty good from what I hear .they stand behind what they sell.Love all that chrome look.

if you like edelbrock carbs and want a alum intake
I wouldn't expect a large hp gain(noticeable)
I like holleys and quadrajets because i have allready learnt/used them

yea lon wayne its giving me fits here and there i wanna replace it then tear it down rebuild it and all that its the orginial quad that was on the engine. i dont know how to tear down and rebuild carbs so i figure id learn on the old one then step it up to be some performance.

V77 what would you recommend for a decent or noticeable hp increase

I bought a used Edelbrock 2101 manifold and Holley 750 from ebay when we first got the 72 running. I thought the carb was overkill but there was a definite increase in torque, probably due to the intake manifold more than the carb. Others have noted a torque boost withthe same manifold. After the swap the clutch started slipping on full throttle, a sure sign of more torque.

ok thanks for the input guys but one quick question where can i find a nice lookin thermostat housing for that edelbrock intake the one i have has the original ugly looking emission stuff on it id like to get a clean one any suggestions
