Man those look really good .Is your carb giving you fits? My 75 only has 42k miles so I hope i wont need all that anytime soon. Im thinking about some diff mifflers. Summit they are pretty good from what I hear .they stand behind what they sell.Love all that chrome look.
if you like edelbrock carbs and want a alum intake
I wouldn't expect a large hp gain(noticeable)
I like holleys and quadrajets because i have allready learnt/used them
yea lon wayne its giving me fits here and there i wanna replace it then tear it down rebuild it and all that its the orginial quad that was on the engine. i dont know how to tear down and rebuild carbs so i figure id learn on the old one then step it up to be some performance.
V77 what would you recommend for a decent or noticeable hp increase
I bought a used Edelbrock 2101 manifold and Holley 750 from ebay when we first got the 72 running. I thought the carb was overkill but there was a definite increase in torque, probably due to the intake manifold more than the carb. Others have noted a torque boost withthe same manifold. After the swap the clutch started slipping on full throttle, a sure sign of more torque.
ok thanks for the input guys but one quick question where can i find a nice lookin thermostat housing for that edelbrock intake the one i have has the original ugly looking emission stuff on it id like to get a clean one any suggestions
