If you'd like to make a few more of those, i'm sure some of the 73-74 owners on here would be interested. Myself included. Good work!

Is there a difference between between 73 and 74 ?
on the one I made I put 8 bars total accross to match the 8 bars on
my outer grills.
I just saw 2 on ebay that have 7 bars total they said fit 73 and 74

If anyone knows please post.

Center grill on my 73 has 7 bars that line with the lower 7 bars of the outer grills

Both are the same, except the 73 has a chrome leading edge.

Thanks for the Info and the pic
They must have left the space at top for the metal brace that is up under the opening.
The one I made fits good with the extra bar on top and it all lines up with the outer grills.

If I cut off the top bar it would probally be the same diminsions as your pic if the bar spacing in pic are on 3/4 inch centers.
soo thats the reason that mounting points on mine are not evenly spaced out. If I lost top bar they would be even like your pic.

That is fine craftsmanship there... To be honest, I am really impressed and you should be proud of yourself. Not everyone can make a grille out of something they cannot physically see and measure!

The only difference between 73 and 74 is the chrome leading edges on the '73. Same design, same materials. Original center grills have 7 bars.

Looks real nice. I would like to have on for my'74.

Does the law require that a licence plate in the front on our Corvettes, or is that city, state specific? Or do you just take you chance?

About Missouri License Plates:

"If you receive two plates, you must place one on the front and one on the back of your vehicle."

Very nice work! How much time did you have in it?I know that there is plenty of guys needing these, and no manufactures have spent the money for tooling because it would take so many sales to ever even break even.Very nice work!Want a job?
