I don't think it will, and I can be very careful about keeping it clean. I usually keep a few rags in the car so I can wipe it off every now and then to keep everything safe. Not to mention it unscrews just like a stock cap, so I don't HAVE to us the spring loaded door.

The design is etched, maybe by some kind of CNC machine. I have not seen or asked much about his procedure...I just really like the results.

Thanks everyone for the compliments...I really doubt I would make this again. It was a long process, and I kind of like having something so unique.

if your going to have custom then having some unique things on your car is really cool if it is done tastefully. I have a few new one off things up my sleeve this year also.
