putting my car back together and it looks like the wiper arms are made of aluminum but looks like they may have been painted black (or maybe bubba painted them ). how did they come from the factory?

I doubt they were aluminum, however wiper arms and blade holders may be either flat black oxide or flat black paint and use clip-typ Trico blade which is 16" long. Thre i no chom or shiny surfac visible.

Truly authentic washer nozzle are solder and clip brass tubing that have been painted black to match the arms.

My original brass washer tubes are natural, not painted.

mine had about 10 different paint jobs on them,
I chemically stripped the, the area comb. of alum. and stainless.
polished them up abter stripping , they look like new now nice and shinny, arms and blades are stainless, the connection braket with serrated holes to attach is made from alum. this will dull if not protected.

so it sounds like they left the factory with black paint (except for the washer nozzle) but look good stripped - hmmm i need to decide what direction to go on this one. i agree that they would look nice unpainted but trying to keep the car "correct" so will likely paint the alu/ss parts black. is krylon semi-gloss paint close enough to correct? thanks for the great feedback.

DJ,
I think Krylon semi-gloss back is good match.
