Let me apologize up front if this was already posted at one time. I did perform a search but didn't find anything. So...
Why did you choose the C3? Was it monetary reasons? The beautiful "coke bottle" shape? Availability of parts? All of the above?
I personally love the body style. I figure the performance side of the equation can always be upgraded if you throw enough money at it, but the style is what it is.
ive been messing with c3's for three years and never kept one for myself. they do have great lines. ive owned a bunch of them and drove them around till they sold...but my keeper is a blk/blk 94 6-speed
It's the spirit of America made car and driving it in EU, through its windshield you dont see the european well organized fields crowded with houses and limitations...you see the wide horizons of the american endless territories and its streight long roads heading toward freedom
I just like the body style. It also helps that I don't have to deal with emissions crap here is Cal as I aquired a 73. I like to build my own engines and like to "spice them up" so I can't work with anything in the smog reg years. Having some chrome bumpers is a bonus and the car is not depreciating.
I used to drive these cars when they were current (long before they were designated C by generation)in order to be cool and get the chicks.I am still driving them but now it is to help satisfy a midlife crisis and get the chicks.
Well, we always talk about how much we work on these car and I would have to say that is one of the thing i like of them. The C3 is very easy to work on in your garage compaired to newer generation.
With five out of seven Corvettes in my history being C3's, I think It's confirmed that I am partial. Body design and driving feel.
1) body style, appearance; 2) sports/muscle car nostalgia; 3) performance; 4) feel of the car when driving, handling; 5) fun of working on it; 6) observer reactions, comments.

Is that enough said?
