Default Help with my heads

Well, now that I found out , From the Good people on this site ( And I Thank you all) that I indeed have a 350 truck engine from Canada in my 69 Vette. Now The Spark plugs are angled and do interfere with the Headers Someone bashed them in as to facilitate the plug removal and installation. Looks kinda Redneck engineering to me.. I wanna put on side pipes or at least another set of headers. Doe's anyone sell headers for this type of head ? Or must I change the heads? I know this is a Basic question for any corvette owner. But I have been away form American Iron for so long I Fergit.... Appreciate you help. Mark

I am a big fan of Hooker headers. I have the side mount headers and side pipes on my Vette.

Another thing to look into are short header plugs. They are designed for use with headers, and are less of a pain to deal with. I don't have any part numbers because I use standard plugs with my headers.

I can get some part numbers from another member that has them on his car. Someone else might know too.

Looks like you have all the info offered on Mortec 3991492....70......350..........LT1,Came l hump, accessory holes,64cc, straight plug
3991492....70-up................over the counter,Camel hump,64cc, straight or angle plug

So I don't know how you know with the heads on.
You should be able to ask the header manufacturer if their headers will work with your heads/plugs. They may tell you yes, regardless, just to sell another pair, but you could ask.

while trying not to dismiss the importance of the 202 intake valved heads, its the exhaust size that makes the numbers jump on those older chevy heads. You have the good ones,.
