Can't find part

Does anyone out there know where I can find the rear hatch hinges for a 1982 CE? None of the regular outlets seem to have them. Thanks to all for the help...

Good luck! THat is a 1 year only part, I don't think any reproductions are even made. Seach this website and the archives, I thought there was a guy who had fabricated some at one point?

Post a WTB ad in the C3 parts section. Some of the used parts vendors monitor that section and will contact you if they have something. That's how I found a replacement frame for my 72.

Hi,
If you go over to the crossfire forum www.crossfire.homeip.net
there is a member there called simpson 36. I could be wrong, but I think he made a small amount of replacement hinges for the CE. Not sure if any are left, but it's worth a shot.

BTW, those hinges stretch due to the force of the lift pistons. The hinges can be squeezed back into shape in a vice (about 1/2 inch), and they should be OK for awhile.
