Reason: miss spelling
The 1,9,4 means Chevrolet, Corvette, V8, , coupe "37" versus "67" for a convertible, the 9 for model year of manufacture, S stands for St Louis, and 704669 means its the 4,669th Corvette built in the 1969 model year. The body date code on the body trim tag is probably aroung C 15 or so. The means the third month of body production, October 1968 and a date. The car was probably finished a week or two after the body depending on weather or not the color was a common one as opposed to a rare one...like Black! ...

Thanks for the info. I just got off the phone with the N.C dmv . The car must be road worthy to even warrant an inspection. I have to get the Fla. title as they will not accept anything else. (unless I use a Title company which would probably end up with an Alabama title) It just goe's against my grain to dump 10 grand into a car that I have no paperwork on as of yet.. I just hope they don't give me a hassle about the truck engine ,And ask for proof of purchace on an engine that was put in about 30 yrs ago. Well I am sure they will run the #s on both and they will turn up as Non stolen.. So I quess I have to persue the Resto to the end.. Thanks to You all for your help.. Mark (damn I can believe I said You all.. I am turnin into a REDNECK Ahhhhhhh)
