Default wtb project 68 - 72

hey guys, my intentions are to install a 2002 ls6 motor and a t56 6 speed transmission in a 68-72 vette. i would like to find a very solid frame and body to start the project right. i am capable of doing interior work but if i can find something that just needs carpet, seat covers, ect i would be happy, i hate installing and screwing around with dashboards. i might be shooting in the dark but if anybody can help give me a shout.

Well you are going to have to screw around with the dashboard as well as a lot of other things. The gauges for the LS engines are all electric so most if not all of the guages will need replacing. You will also need to build a fuel system, modify the trans crossmember, shorten the driveshaft, change the cooling system to use an electric fan, change the clutch mechanism, etc. How do I know this? I'm in the middle of it myself. Not a job for the faint of heart. Read through the sticky in the Performance section about LS conversions and check out ls1tech.com to get an idea of what you are getting into.
