Default Re-assembly check list

My son & I are doing a "frame off" on my 69 roadster. The original frame was rusted beyond repair so we have a new one waiting! We're about to lift the body off the old frame & set it on the new one & send it out for painting. We have stripped everything off the body & will be cleaning & buying new parts where needed.
So . . . my questino is: Has anyone put together a check list to be used when putting all the parts back on the car?
Thanks,
Paul

The Check List is the labeled and bagged parts and fasteners, the notes you made, and the photos you took, as you took it apart.
I've seen some lists of things to check when you lift, but not for re-assembly.

Alan

if you have the engine and drive train installed (which i think is best done with the body off in a rebuild) check the angles between the trans, drive shaft and pinion, and adjust heights as needed to reduce vibrations. many extensive posts are available on this subject.

I totally reassembled the chassis and dropped the body on at the end. It is much easier working on mechanicals with the body off.
Also while the body is off you can clean up all the metal brackets, refinish underneath etc

Pix and labeled parts bins are the most help, but wouldn't it really suck to reassemble to a point and then realize that some bolt or wire needed to go in 200 steps ago? But wait, it's all about the journey right? Deep breaths and coffee breaks....

Default Assembly Manual

I bagged and tagged stuff according to the Assembly manual when I disassembled mine.
Then, I used the assembly manual when I did the reassembly. worked great.
BTW, do the chassis and suspension w/o the body on. Much easier and a much nicer job. Good Luck.

Been doing a lot of "Deep breaths" but with Guinness!

Thanks for everybodys suggestions! Every bit of support helps!
Lifting the body next week ( after St. Paddys Day). Engine should be ready so it'll go on the new frame while we finish the rust on the body.
May be sometime I'll figure out how to include pictures for the curious! They're not very pretty now - just have to think about the finished project! Had the car new since 11/8/68 so it hurts to see it it pieces! We've set a lofty goal to get it back toghther by it's birthday in November.

Thanks again everyone!

I used a checklist similar to this and just went in reverse order for reassembly.
