Where can I get one wheel?

I am having a custom trailer built and I am using the factory aluminum wheels from my 77 vette. I want to have a spare so I am looking for a single wheel I can use as a spare as the spare is mounted in plain sight on the trailer.

Anyone know where I can get a decent wheel? I posted a request in the C3 parts forum last week but did not get a bite.

The trailer is going to be great! It will be 18' total length with a 5' steel plate dovetail and 5' ramps. With the Corvette wheels it should look pretty sweet when its done, if I can just find a spare wheel!

i would say the junk yard..... might have to put some elbow grease into it to make it look good...but....

eBay is your best possibility. If you want to check junk yards, just call them. They won't be in the yard [but inside], as they would corrode/pit if they just sat out in the weather. Salvage yards strip those kind of things right away.

I absolutly HATE ebay...but, having said that I was able to find one wheel on ebay a few years ago. The first '82 I bought had three correct wheels and one earlier wheel with the black center that had been rubbed off. Only someone that knew what they were looking for could tell the difference...which was me!

I found a correct 80 - 82 wheel on ebay and then sold my odd-ball wheel using the same packing/box that my new wheel arrived in. Ebay worked like a charm then but I'm no longer a fan.
