P/S & P/P conversion problem
I have a "69" 427 and am in the process of upgrading the manual steering and manual brakes with a Hydrobooster and Corvette Steering box. In addition, I am working on changing the stock V-Belt to a March
Serpentine belt system. While installing the March Saganaw pump bracket, it was clear that the pulley would never clear the crossmember. I called March and they said I had to use a Type 2 power steering pump (they will exchange the bracket & pulley).
Has anyone run into this problem? Suggestions?
