I use Mr. gasket Ultra seal, never a problem. as far as tips, remove 1st and last bolt and put in 2 studs, then when you take rest of bolts out and replace gasket just put the header on studs, slip gasket on,tighten studs with nuts then put rest of header bolts in.The bolts line up much easier that way
Mr Gasket Ultra Seals on mine, and no problems. You don't need studs on the front and back, just don't take the bolts all the way out, that's how I did mine. Just remember to retighten them after some miles.

Just so I get this right, you back out the first and last bolt (and leave them in to hold the header) then remove all of the other ones and slip in the gasket ?
I went into Summits website, didnt see any copper Header gaskets and the most expensive one's they had were under $20.00
Ordered mine on Tuesday for my Hooker side pipe install this weekend.
Had them in hand UPS the next morning before noon! That's Service!
Summit brand-part number#111406 1.50x1.44 small block chevy
Made in USA stamped H.C.G. They look like high quality and are very heavy-solid copper.
$29.95
On a side note, I've used the Mr. Gasket before with mixed results.
I'd never use them again.
