I installed new rubber door seals on my 78 and it requires a good slam to shut and near impossible to open. I installed these back in the fall just prior to putting the car away in storage. I figured with the doors closed tightly for a period of a couple of months that the rubber would form better and make opening and closing easier.
I was wrong...
I would also like to mention that it is only the Drivers door that is effected as the passenger operates fine. Yes, the rubber was installed correctly.
I forget the seal manufacturer but were oredered from Corvette Central.
Has anyone run into this similiar problem or have any suggestions...???
I think I would spray the rubber seals with silicone rubber strip lubricant. Not only does it protect the seals it also softens and keeps them pliable.

Sorry, can't resist... That's why condoms come pre-lubricated and in foil pouches.
