Sounds like you are happy in the end despite the troubles you had. I do like them too. Now you need some aftermarket wheels to go with them.

No way on the wheels. The origninal car had ralleys I bought these

They ran me $1195.00 with the A/C bracket included, and without inserts.I purchased the inserts from STS.

I have a general question. I have a 71 vert with side pipes. I have noticed that with the top up and the windows open the exhaust smell is very strong. With top down it is OK. Is this par for the course?

Great look!!
I have experianced a exhaust leak from the header/side pipe connection to cause fumes and or a open hole through the engine compartment with a gasket leaking.
