Cruised out to Julian (small town in the mountains outside of San Diego) on the 67and 78 yesterday. Perfect day for a drive with the tops out. It was about 75 degrees when we hit the road and by the time we had climbed into the mountains we dropped a couple degrees. No snow left on the ground..tons of bikes on the road. Played nice with a Yellow Ducatti 900 for a little bit and saw him later in town while the girlfriend and I were eating lunch. Had to pick up a pie (Julian is famous for apple pie) and came back to San Diego on the 79. Coming through El Cajon was much warmer (about 85degrees).
Put just about 100 mi's on the car...Car ran fine, ran hard, and no static from 50.
I did notice the header wrap hanging down from the exhast...and I have a whistle (whine) under the hood that I need to find. Always something to do...
Just surfing thru the forum and came across your letter.Juilan's apple pies ummm good!My boy was stationed in San Diego and we visited them a few times while they were there. We would always wind up in Julian!!The only other way to enjoy it better was to have our Corvette out there! We flew out from Memphis.Later Geno

Bring the car next time and drop the forum a line...there are always people willing to pick up a pie.
