Default Fender Louvers

Hey there! I have seen fender louvers for 69 vettes on Ebay and are very pricey. Though Ecklers spare parts sell repro's for half the price of the genuines. Has anyone out there used these replacement items and can you tell them from the real ones when they are on the car. Thanks.

I looked at the pictures of the originals and the reproductions and they LOOK the same. For the big difference in $$$ I'd give them a try.
Regards,
Alan

Call Corvette Central and ask about them. Ask if customers are happy or are they returning them. They will be honest.

In general, if they are cheaper, they are not as good. I bought the foreign door handles and they were crap and I returned them for OEM.

Personally, I am not really fond of the louvers anyway but it does depend on the color. They look good on a black car but I don't like them with the Daytona yellow that I have on my '69.

A few years ago they were still available from GM, at about the price of repros. Try www.gmotors.com you may need a part number.

Default Corvette louvers

Thanks Guys for the advice. I have just recently purchased a 69 Fathom green vette from California and am in the process of shipping it back home to Australia. True the colour does matter in relation to the louvers.
