Quick question....Which of the two available Corvette Interchange Manuals is better? I would imaging that they're both good sources of information, I'm just looking for some opinions before I buy one to see if there's any difference in them...Apparently the Motorbooks version is longer with more pictures, but that's not a deal-breaker.
The bulk of our vette parts are corvette specific. Order some free catalogs from the vendors and use that as a vette year interchange guide. Then for the less specific vette parts, like alternators, intake manifolds and master cylinders, go to the following website...
Use the "automotive parts search" to get the specific ac delco number for the part you are looking for. Once you do that, go back and use the "vehicle list by part number" to get a cross reference for every vehicle that that part will fit on. Plus, its free!

Thanks Stinger! You just save me $50+. I tried it out a couple of times. It works!!

IMHO use of the word "Interchange" in the title of the MBI version is misleading, as I was very disappointed to find no references concerning swapping bits around that weren't necessarily shared from model to model and/or from year to year. Definitely not the modder's goldmine of info I thought I'd found.
But, even if you're only into "correctness", there are a good number of gaps in coverage of items which I would think ought to have been included. The General's own 1953 thru 1982 Corvette Parts and Illustration Catalog may be more cumbersome to navigate, but it is the real C3 parts bible.
I wouldn't necessarily call it worthless, but for my purposes it's certainly not worth anything near the $29.95 cover price. I'd save it and take stinger12's advice.
