Since i have put in new weather stripping, im having a hrad time making the windows line up to the new stuff. Does anyone have a diagram showing how to align them right to left and in and out?
Thanks!
thanks for the link. I got my passenger side window PERFECT, but am having alot of difficulty on the drivers side.
Ill post some pics of how it is mis-aligned, and maybe you could tell me what to adjust to fix it.

Ditto here. Pass. side - perfect. Driver side still getting tweaked. Mine is giving me trouble with top being either too far out or too far in when all the way up.
Mine is in an odd position. It seems like it leans to far into the car toward the top. Also on the A pillar weather stripping, it never goes straight into the groove. It on the outside of it on the bottom and the inside at the top...
Only good news is i got the passenger side aglined in like five minutes...

Easier way
to align a window. The easiest way I ever found was to loosen ALL the adjusments (especially the two tracks in the door).
Hand set the window in the full up position to where it needs to be
in the 3 axis (Fore/aft, up/down and tilt). Then tighten all the screws/bolts. The AIM is at assembly when everything is loose to begin with. It is extremely difficult to get the window back into trim using the individual adjustments if you don't start with a close alignment.

Same problem. I re-did the T-Tops and put new weather strip on them, etc. Figured I had to shim something on the Top, but thanks to this thread, it looks like window adjustment is the problem.
For me, same thing - passenger side is perfect. Seals nice. Drivers side is a bit too low, particularly towards the rear. It's like the window just is not going up high enough and is cocked slightly.
AIM is the Assembly Instruction Manual that the GM assembly plant used to put the car together. If you own a Vette, you NEED the AIM (it is year specific).
Here's the one for your 77'. It will be the best 20 bucks you'll ever spend. If you don't have the funds, PM me your email address and I'll send you the page on window adjustment.
